UK votes to leave the EU
The UK has voted to leave the EU by 52% to 48%. Leave won the majority of votes in England and Wales, while every council in Scotland saw Remain majorities.

Things are getting very interesting across the Atlantic. The British Pound has fallen to its lowest level since 1985. The Brexit is sparking a crisis.

With the UK "Leave" vote beating out the polls assuming the "Remain" vote would win, this could create a trigger for more countries to follow suit.

The question remains: What happens next? I don't mean chaos in stocks, currencies, etc. I'm looking at the bigger picture here. Will we see a complete breakup of the EU in the coming years?

This Brexit will not happen overnight and will take years to fully be implemented. Nonetheless, with the uncertainty in the markets, expect capital flows to head into the US dollar for safety.
Given that most all Brits have realized the "Leave" vote has won, the losing side has already began to petition for another EU referendum for a re-vote. Now it seems Scotland might want their independence from the UK... This will be interesting!
