Flyability is taking UAV's to the next level. After winning the $1 million Drones for Good prize, the company plans to further it's capabilities with various new sensors from infrared imaging to localization fine tuning.
With the proven success of their concept, this little flying robot can bump and bounce around after you with no worries of its destruction leading to a slew of possibilities for its use. Thoughts from the scanning/mapping balls in the movie Prometheus immediately come to mind.
A bit scarier thought is this robot could follow and track you down as you try to escape into a forest or corn field... Let's hope we are never in that sort of situation!
Nonetheless, there are great opportunities for this drone to be utilized in the search and rescue industry and we hope the best for its future development.
